And maybe they are now looking down at me because they think I’m just some lazy, always-late student who never give a shit on her grades. Maybe they are getting disappointed with their wrong decision of voting me as their class president. Maybe they think I’m not someone who they should keep their eyes on.

Just because I always say ‘ano daw di ko nagets english kasi’ doesn’t mean it’s true. Same goes whenever they ask me if I have already studied for the exams and I say “HINDI PA O.O”. Or the fact that I always say “di pa, tinatamad ako” with almost everything in my life. I just don’t like disappointing people. I don’t want them to look up to me but end up turning their backs away because I failed. 

But that doesn’t mean they should already take me for granted.

Because sometimes, it hurts too.
